WTF! Good Samaritan Group Member During Hurricane Rescue:
‘We’ve Been Shot At’ and their boat was stolen....



The Cajun Navy is a group of good samaritans which formed after Hurricane Katrina and seeks to aid stranded people in coastal rescue operations.

But one member says the group’s rescue boats are being shot at by people they are unable to accommodate in crowded boats. In an interview with Headline News, Cajun Navy representative Clyde Cain said that some of Hurricane Harvey’s victims have tried to steal the group’s boats in an effort to escape some of the more highly-flooded areas.

“The people that are wanting to be rescued are trying to steal the boat,” Cain said. Then, as anchor Carol Costello tried to ask a question, Cain matter-of-factly reported this: “We’ve been shot at.”

Costello was stunned. “What?!” She exclaimed. “We have boats being shot at,” Cain said, elaborating. “Because if we’re not picking up everybody, we’re having to pull out for a minute.”

 

Must be Hillary supporters shooting at them. Fucking snowflakes.

As if flooding and being shot at aren't bad enough, now there are floating islands of fire ants showing up and the flooding doesn't kill them.

Desperation...people's motivation changes. They should tow in lines of truck inner tubes like those used to float down a river. Anyone that wants out, sit in a tube and tag along.

 

I've seen fire ant balls larger than a basketball. They 'roll' along the surface so that each ant takes its' turn under water.
And if you were hit by one of those balls, you probably wouldn't live. They're wicked.

 

Coast guard and emergency response team got here a few hours ago. I've been helping with some of the tag alongs to get people out of flooded areas but damn there's a lot of work to do here. I have a house in a good neighborhood that didn't flood or at least doesn't have water just pouring in, so I've kept a few families there. There's actually a few people who are helping out here. Most are scared and I mean who can blame them. But Houston is staying strong.

 

If you have ever been to South Houston----You can also say you have been to South Africa....

A Facebook post said BLM was posing as people who needed a rescue then steal the boat and go looting....

 

There has been some real acts of kindness and you sound like one....god bless....

Dude you joke about it but honestly the influx of people and overwhelmed police force. Theft is the biggest issue right now. People are panicking and honestly I think reporters are pretty scared to go to the really bad areas. I mean it's fight or flight in some of the really flooded areas.

You might remember Gen Russel Ornery. He was the hero that came in and straightened out the New Orleans rescues after Katrina. And I saw an interview with him today where he not only predicted there was going to be some looting and other crimes. He said law enforcement and others shouldn't be trying to arrest and/or shoot people. Because they are panicked and desperate and are just trying to survive. And that needed to be understood.

 

Notice how the racist Trump supporters have to instantly turn this into a race thing and political thing? Just how disgusting and sick can they be?

The facts are the facts... shame it has to be that way, bad people can't change. As I watch coverage of this terrible disaster, I note who is doing the rescuing...

 

Some people will make excuses for anything and everything.

People who attack good samaratons, and rescue services etc
don't deserve rescue or help.

Panic is one thing ,
shooting at helpers is quite another.
Inexcusable.
Attempted murder.
Leave them there til the military police have time to take a prison truck in and take them where they deserve to be ,
or collect their bodies.

 

And we just heard the rescuers are being robbed of their equipment, and their boats are being used to loot.????

If you guys really want to know, it's not a particular race or group that I've seen do the looting. Yes in areas that are prodominently black there are black people looting but also black people that are standing beside me helping. In areas that are prodominently Hispanic I see the same. In this time there are just humans that are scared and want to live.

I don't support the looting or the aggression. I've helped plenty of civilians as well as our brave officers who are currently risking their lives to help out.

We don't need this to be a political thing. We need our neighbors to be safe and the kids to be fed. Bottom line is. If I see you need help I'm coming to help. People that are out here helping know the risks. We do it because we care.

Just wish there were more of us.

 

Just a bit ago about 10 more airboats and a convoy of unimogs just rumbled up us59 headed toward Houston so some help is on the way
Also just talked to guy that took in 2strangers that had nowhere to go
Just proves that good people do still exist
